Edmunds' Inside Line Wins "Wheel Awards"
SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 19, 2008 — Inside Line, Edmunds' high-speed online car magazine, was awarded two 2008 International Wheel Awards for excellence in automotive journalism presented by the Detroit Press Club Foundation and judged by the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University. The awards were presented during a ceremony on May 15 at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Mich.
"We are honored and gratified by these awards as we strive to continually produce the Internet's most compelling automotive content," said Kevin Smith, editorial director for Edmunds. "Edmunds' Inside Line has more readers than the circulation of all major printed car magazines combined, and our team is determined to keep that leadership position in light of the ever-growing competition."
Edmunds' Inside Line Video Producer Glenn McClanan won first place in the Internet-Product Review category for his video highlighting the 2007 Dodge Charger Police Package (at http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Followup/articleId=120003), while Edmunds' Inside Line Chief Road Test Editor Chris Walton was awarded second place in the Internet-Product Review category for his review of the 2008 Cadillac CTS V6 DI (at http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FullTests/articleId=122751).
