HDAW ’08 Awards to Honor Top Distributor, Technician, Products

HD Hall of Fame Award to be Presented

December 10, 2007, ORLAND PARK, Ill. – Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) ’08 will again recognize the industry’s best and brightest at its second annual Awards Luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 24. HDAW is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 21, through Thursday, Jan. 24, at The Mirage, Las Vegas.

All HDAW ’08 registered attendees are invited to attend. Details on the awards program, as well as the complete HDAW program and registration, are available online.

The awards will include:

HD Technician of the Year – Presented by Bendix CVS/Dayton Parts/Haldex/SKF, this award honors excellence in the HD aftermarket service channel. The recipient has been selected through an extensive national annual competition held during the past three years.

Top Five Aftermarket Products – Presented by “HD Trucking” magazine, this award is based on the well-known “HDT Nifty Fifty Products” designation. The top five aftermarket products are selected by a panel of Newport Communications editors. The award recognizes products based on a range of criteria highlighting excellence and contribution to the HD aftermarket.

HD Industry Hall of Fame Award – Presented by RL Polk for the second year, this award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry. A formal nomination and judging process culminates with the award to an individual, company or organization that has made a significant, positive difference in the HD parts industry.

2007 Distributor of the Year – Presented by “Truck Parts and Service” magazine, the Distributor of the Year award is one of the industry’s most prestigious awards. The honoree is selected through an extensive nomination, finalist selection and annual award election process. The recipient and nominations list of this annual award reads like a “Who’s Who?” in the independent aftermarket.

HDAW is presented by a joint operating committee comprised of industry leaders from American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists (ACOFAS), Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN), Heavy Duty America (HDA), Heavy Duty Distribution Association (HDDA), Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG), International Truck Parts Association (ITPA), Overseas Automotive Council (OAC), Power Heavy Duty, Service Specialists Association (SSA), Truck Pride and VIPAR HD Parts.
