TI Automotive Expands Plants in Slovakia
WARREN, Mich., 04.29.2008 – TI Automotive, a leading supplier to major automotive manufacturers, is expanding its operations in Slovakia to support increased product demand from Hyundai, Kia and PSA Peugeot Citroen.
The company is building a new 15,000-square-foot facility in Trnava, Slovakia, to support brake and fuel line production for PSA Peugeot Citroen.
“The Trnava plant brings us even closer to our customers and to the business opportunities that will provide us with further growth,” said TI Automotive Trnava plant manager Oliver Garaj. "This new location will significantly improve our logistics, enabling us to meet the sequencing requirements of our customers and ensuring that we remain competitive in the global marketplace.”
The company’s 19,000-square-foot plant in Cadca, Slovakia, also will triple in size to 68,000 square feet this year. The plant, which opened in 2006, currently supplies brake lines to Hyundai and Kia.
