Federal-Mogul Receives 19 Brand, Product Marketing Awards at 2007 AAPEX Show
2007 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX)
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., November 13, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Federal-Mogul Corporation (OTCBB:FDMLQ) received 19 prestigious brand and product marketing awards during the 2007 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas, Nevada. AAPEX is one of the world’s largest trade shows and the premier North American show for aftermarket professionals.
Federal-Mogul brands receiving awards were: Wagner® brake products, ANCO® wipers, Fel-Pro® gaskets, Moog® chassis parts, National® wheel-end components. The company’s globally recognized Champion brand, celebrating its 100th year of innovative, performance-driven technologies for automotive professionals and consumers, received 10 awards for a variety of commemorative ads, posters, packaging, Web-based initiatives and other projects.
Judges in the Aftermarket Business magazine Global Design Awards program – which recognizes design and marketing creativity – presented it’s Best of Show citation to Federal-Mogul’s multi-brand “Ultimate Road Trip Promotion,” which encouraged technicians and consumers to prepare vehicles for safe, fun, trouble-free vacation road trips by servicing with premium replacement parts. The judges presented three Gold-level Awards to the Champion spark plug brand in the packaging and merchandising/display categories and two Silver Awards each to Champion (merchandising/display and Web site) and Wagner Brake (advertising and promotions). The ANCO brand received two Bronze Awards in the merchandising/display category.
Recognizing outstanding achievement in marketing communications, the Car Care Women’s Board and Automotive Communication Council presented Federal-Mogul with awards for Best Business-to-Business Special Promotion/Promotional Event (Fel-Pro), Best Packaging (Champion performance additives and lubricants); Best Poster, Calendar, Other Collateral (Champion spark plug), Best Merchandising (ANCO), Best Business-to-Consumer Special Promotion/Promotional Event (Champion spark plug).
Federal-Mogul’s Champion performance additives and lubricants also received the Best New Product Award in the AAPEX show’s “Smooth Sailing” category, reserved for products engineered to enhance vehicle performance. The new Champion line includes eight advanced-formula additives and lubes.
