BMW Museum: 90 Years in a Night
BMW Museum exhibition for the "Long Night of the Munich Museums"
10/17/2007, Munich -- On Saturday, 20th October 2007, BMW invites the public to the BMW Museum exhibition at the Olympic Tower from 19.00 to 2.00 hrs as part of the "Long Night of the Munich Museums". This year BMW Mobile Tradition looks back over the successful 90-year history of the brand. The special exhibition "The BMW brand. A story of success" has some outstanding objects from these nine decades lined up for visitors. Among them are rare exhibits such as the first BMW motorcycle engine from the 1920s, the BMW Turbo design study of 1972 and the BMW Z1 Art Car by A.R. Penck.
The highlight of the evening will be a rally through the Museum featuring games, films and competition questions. The main prize that participants can look forward to is a ride in a range of historic BMW classics. Providing the evening's entertainment and ensuring a lively atmosphere will be DJs Charles and Tom.
On the weekend of 20th/21st October the BMW Museum exhibition will offer an attractive range of activities in parallel with the opening of BMW Welt. On Saturday and Sunday the Museum exhibition is open from 10.00 to 17.00 hrs and is free of charge to all-comers.
The exhibition closes on 9th December and will return next year to the newly refurbished and extended BMW Museum.
