Pre-Registration Open for 2008 Chicago Auto Show
Nation's Largest Auto Show Preps to Welcome Media, Manufacturers
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Don't you want to avoid that terrible feeling of slapping your forehead because you got wrapped up in "things" and forgot to pre-register for the media preview of the 2008 Chicago Auto Show? Yeah, you know that feeling. "Oh, I'll just call and they'll get me done."
Well, it may be factual, but you'll get "done" from the end of that long line out the door of the expansive media center instead of just swaggering in like a proper moto-journalist is wont to do, grab your seat (and a coffee) and set up shop. After all, Chicago and McCormick Place are far too cool to be all wrapped up in bureaucracy rather than the nation's biggest auto show and the awesome city that surrounds it.
So let's make this simple: Pre-register now by clicking here (http://www.chicagoautoshow.com/link.asp?l=1&mid=623&lid=72958). And don't forget the password: Media08 (and yes, it's case sensitive). If you're registering as a corporate PR exec, please click into "Corporate Credentials" and use the password "Corporate08" Corporate folks are enabled to enter a list of names on their section. We believe strongly in making life simpler in Chicago rather than more.... ummm... unsimple.
Why you want to get this done now
You don't want to miss the world introduction of the most significant car Chrysler has done in a long time -- the production Challenger -- and a bunch of others, do you? Do you want to miss the huge news from GM? From Ford? From Hyundai? From Suzuki? Acura? Mitsubishi? Volkswagen? Porsche? International Truck? Even the new YES! will be revealed, too, for the first time in North America.
Additionally, this will be the 100th edition of the Chicago Auto Show. No other show anywhere on earth can boast as many as we've done here in the Windy City. You weren't here for the first one in 1901, but you'll want to say you were here for this one and be a part of it. It'll be something to tell your grandchildren at the very least. All that, plus great parties like Bridgestone's Welcome reception and Tailgate Party; entertainment like Stars, Cars & Bars; legendary Chicago ambience; Blues clubs; restaurants and a city that stays awake and alive into the weeeee-small hours of the morning.
You want to miss all that? No way in hell! Make life simple for yourself and tell your friends -- or ask others who have been here. They'll tell you straight out that Chicago is the auto show they love to visit for a long list of reasons.
Also, don't forget that the Chicago Auto Show has special rates for visiting journalists and manufacturers -- a more-than-reasonable $126 per night at the Fairmont or Swissotel Chicago. Evidently, they don't have to make their year on one show alone and love having you in town, so make your reservations early. And even if you're an upscale dude or dude-ette who wants to bump up your hotel presence even further, you can choose the Four Seasons Chicago for just $250 per night.
There's lots of other information that's out there and more to come. If you haven't read the first two Show Updates, here are the links: Update #1 (http://www.chicagoautoshow.com/link.asp?l=2&mid=623&lid=72958), Update #2 (http://www.chicagoautoshow.com/link.asp?l=3&mid=623&lid=72958).
Registration is easy. Do it today while you're thinking about it, OK?
