New Delphi Grundig X Family: "Xclusive And Xtremely Innovative"
October 15, 2007, NUREMBERG, GERMANY -- With the new Delphi Grundig X family Delphi is introducing a further innovative Xclusive-design car audio system line in the wake of the successful S family. Comprising the X350 BT, X330 SD and X250 MP3 models, the new X family offers the right product for all tastes and budgets. As a central design element, the X, is the guiding theme running through all the units in the new Delphi Grundig car audio family.
The highlight of the new product range is the X350 BT, which is virtually unbeatable in terms of connection options to external devices. The removable flip-down/dot-matrix panel is a real eye-catcher. It is adjustable in seven different colours (white, blue, amber, orange, turquoise, violet and green) and impresses through its very high resolution with 132 * 32 colour dots.
The 1 DIN RDS/ EON tuner with an extremely shockproof CD/MP3 drive also excels by virtue of its integrated Parrot Bluetooth© receiver. Commercially available Bluetooth-capable end devices - for example a mobile phone, a smartphone or a PDA - can be connected to the X350 BT. The real advantages of this function only become evident in operation. A phone book stored on a mobile phone can be viewed on the display, the individual numbers can then conveniently be dialed via the control buttons of the Delphi Grundig X350 BT. Up to 1,000 numbers can be synchronised with the X350 BT and five devices can be connected simultaneously. Calls can be answered either directly via the display at the press of a button, or automatically. The radio programme or the CD/MP3 track playback is muted for this purpose. The X350 BT can optionally be expanded by an additional external microphone.
As a further highlight, the X350 BT also responds to voice commands. Voice-dial phone numbers stored on a mobile phone can be conveniently dialed by voice via the X350 BT. Of course, recently dialed or answered numbers and missed calls can be viewed on the display of the Delphi Grundig X350 BT.
In addition the X350 BT will be enhanced by an innovative software feature called X350 Update-Scout. Since the life cycle of mobile phones is much shorter then those of car audio systems, the X350 BT can be updated to all common mobile phone brands* coming to market with new models in the future thanks to the X350 Update-Scout. So the customer can purchase a new mobile phone without having to worry about abandoning the innovative telephone features of the Delphi Grundig X350 BT. The customer can find regularly software updates for the integrated Parrot Bluetooth receiver on the Delphi Grundig website at www.delphigrundig.com. The software update can be executed via Bluetooth either by the customer or a Delphi Grundig dealer.
Naturally, the star of the new Delphi Grundig Car Audio X family also has a lot to offer in terms of sound. With an output of 4 * 45 watts and a parametric 3-band equalizer, it can be adapted to any listening taste. The sound can also be further enhanced via external amplifiers via two line-out connections.
Thanks to the hard-wired USB port on the rear of the unit, the Delphi Grundig X350 BT can easily be transformed into a digital jukebox. Whether you would like to connect an iPod® or another portable MP3 player, the X350 BT enables you not only to play back your digital music collection, but also to conveniently operate the connected end device via the display buttons.
Should this not suffice, the musical qualities of the X350 BT can be expanded by further data media via the two line-in connections. For example, by connecting the Delphi Grundig HDD30 hard drive player, a further 30 gigabytes of storage capacity can be added for your favourite tracks.
Settings for all the functions of the new Delphi Grundig X350 BT can be made comfortably via the innovative voice-controlled menu. A connection to the steering wheel controls completes the numerous features of the X350 BT.
Connection desired: The Delphi Grundig X330 SD
The second member of the new Delphi Grundig X family ties in seamlessly with the visual and technical qualities of the X350 BT. The RDS/EON tuner with a shock resistant CD/MP3-capable drive and an output power of 4 * 45 watts not only guarantees a first-class sound, but also enables the appropriate settings for all musical tastes thanks to its parametric 3-band equalizer. Expandability: This is where the Delphi Grundig X330 SD really comes into its own. A portable MP3 player, for example an iPod, can be connected via the USB port and conveniently operated via the display buttons of the X330 SD. A further feature for expanding the storage capacity of the new Delphi Grundig all-rounder is an additional card slot for SD cards (Secure Digital Card) located beneath the flip-down display.
Four line-out connections and a separate subwoofer output make sound freaks' hearts beat faster, because as well as enabling the connection of additional speakers at the front and rear of the vehicle, an additional subwoofer can be connected to the X330 SD for a really booming bass sound.
Depending on your mood or the time of day, the clearly laid out display can be adjusted to three different brightness levels. As with the X350 BT, the X330 SD can also be connected to the steering wheel controls.
Getting started: the entry-level X250 MP3 model
Even those with a small budget can enjoy the qualities of the new Delphi Grundig X family. As the entry-level model, the X250 MP3 offers all the benefits of a conventional RDS/EON tuner, including an integrated CD/MP3 drive with anti-shock memory ensuring smooth playback at all times, even when the ride gets bumpy. Altogether 30 station presets are available to the listener for his or her favourite FM and AM stations. The clear design of the entire Delphi Grundig X family is also reflected in the removable flip-down display of the X250 MP3.
Like its X family siblings, the X250 MP3 boasts 4 * 45 watts of output power. Thanks to preset sound settings (DSP: Digital Sound Processing), the right sound can be set for every taste and every musical style. Be it classical, pop or rock music: the simple operating principle enables you to quickly get the sound you want.
The sound can also be enhanced by means of external amplifiers via two line-out connections. Expansion by a portable MP3 player, iPod or the Delphi Grundig HDD30 hard drive player also pose no problem with the X250 MP3. The AUX-IN connection lets the junior member of the X family transform into a digital jukebox. Of course, the Delphi Grundig X250 MP3 can also be connected to the steering wheel controls.
The new Delphi Grundig X family is available at French specialist retailers at a recommended selling price of €119.00 (X250 MP3), €149.00 (X330 SD) and €249.00 (X350 BT).
* The Delphi Grundig X350 BT is compatible with most of the common Bluetooth mobile phones available in the market from manufacturers such as Blackberry, HP, imate, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Qtek, Palm, Panasonic, Philips, Sagem, Samsung, Sendo, Sharp, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, SPV, Telital etc.
