Audi Is Official Sponsor of 19th Annual Best Buddies Ball

Oct 26, 2007 -- Audi announced the latest phase of its growing relationship with Best Buddies International, as the German luxury car manufacturer was the official automotive sponsor of the 19th Annual Best Buddies Ball, which took place in October 20th at the home of Sargent and Eunice Kennedy Shriver in Potomac, Maryland.
This year’s event will celebrate new friendships in the Alps with the expansion of Best Buddies’ mission to provide one-to-one friendships for people with intellectual disabilities into Austria and Switzerland, as well as an expanded role for the organization in Germany.

The Annual Best Buddies Washington Ball is a highlight of the Washington social calendar. Attendees will include Sargent and Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Anthony Kennedy Shriver, TV’s Greg German, actresses Marlee Matlin and Lacey Chabert, Her Imperial Highness Princess Thi-Nga of Vietnam, Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis, his Excellency Klaus Scharioth, the Ambassador Germany, her Excellency Eva Nowotny, the Ambassador of Austria and his Excellency Urs Ziswiller, the Ambassador of Austria.

This year’s Best Buddies Washington Ball will be Alpine-themed and feature a live musical performance by En Vogue, as well as a wide variety of live and silent auctions to support Best Buddies endeavors in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
