BETHESDA, MD, Oct. 24, 2007 – Brian France, chairman and CEO of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), will address the more than 1,000 attendees of AAIA’s Town Hall during AAPEX in Las Vegas. Hosted by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) and sponsored by NASCAR Performance, the Town Hall will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7 a.m. in the Palazzo Ballroom in the Venetian Hotel.

Brian France will make remarks prior to the opening of the AAIA Town Hall program featuring Bob Schieffer, anchor of “Face the Nation” and CBS News chief Washington correspondent.

Brian France, a member of NASCAR’s founding family, has been actively involved in NASCAR for more than two decades. He has been in the forefront of NASCAR’s growth and expansion into a mainstream, national sport with 75 million fans in the U.S. and a global television footprint.

Under France’s guidance, NASCAR now has more corporate involvement than any other sport, including the groundbreaking announcement of Sprint Nextel becoming title sponsor of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup series. France has increased NASCAR’s commitment to safety though the development of a state-of-the-art Research & Development Center in Concord, N.C. He has led a host of marketing initiatives, including internalizing the sanctioning body’s licensing efforts. He also developed NASCAR’s consolidated media plans that established broadcast race coverage on FOX Sports, TNT and ABC/ESPN and continues to create unprecedented fan access to NASCAR with partners such as DIRECTV, Turner Interactive and Sirius.

France was recently recognized by TIME Magazine, being named to its prestigious “The TIME 100: The People Who Shape Our World.” Earlier this month, he was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.
